Data protection
I treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations and this privacy policy.
Legal bases for processing
I process personal data on the following legal bases of the GDPR:
- Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, consent (e.g. getting in touch)
- Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, performance of a contract (e.g. wedding photography)
- Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, legitimate interest (e.g. providing the website securely, measuring the success of my advertising)
Storage period
Your data is only stored for as long as is necessary for the respective purpose or as required by statutory retention periods.
Your rights under the GDPR
You have the right at any time to:
- Access the data stored about you
- Have incorrect data corrected
- Have your data deleted (unless legal obligations prevent this)
- Restrict the processing
- Receive your data in a portable format (data portability)
- Object to processing

Right to object under Art. 21 GDPR
Where I process your data on the basis of a legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), you can object to this processing at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation. I will then no longer process your data, unless I can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims. A short message to me is enough.

Hosting
This website is hosted by Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). When you visit the pages, Cloudflare processes your IP address and the server log data listed below in order to deliver the website to you. Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in providing the website securely and reliably).
Server log files
My hosting provider automatically collects the following data:
- Browser type and version
- Operating system
- Referrer URL
- Host name of the accessing computer
- Time of the server request
This data is used exclusively for technical analysis and is not combined with other data sources.
Contact by email or phone
If you contact me, I store your details in order to handle your enquiry. I do not pass this data on without your consent.
Enquiry form
Through the enquiry form I collect the details you enter there: names, wedding date, location, desired coverage, mobile number, email address and your message. Mobile number and email address are required, because otherwise I cannot get back to you.
You can also choose to send a picture of the two of you. This picture is stored only with your enquiry, so that I know who I am talking to. It is not published and not passed on to third parties. It only goes into my customer management system and is attached to the notification email to me, which is sent via the service Resend named below. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time. Just send me a short message and I will delete the picture.
To process your enquiry, your details are stored in my internal customer management system. It runs on a server of Hetzner Online GmbH (Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany) in the data centre in Helsinki, Finland, i.e. within the EU. The form data is transmitted via Cloudflare and, for the notification email to me, via Resend (Plus Five Five, Inc., 2261 Market Street #5039, San Francisco, CA 94114, USA). The transfer to Resend in the USA is based on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
If you come to my website through an ad or a link with campaign information, your browser stores only this source (for example “Google Ads”) and the time in its local storage. If you send an enquiry within 90 days, this information is sent along with it, so that I know how you found me. No cookie is set and no identifier is stored that could be used to recognise you. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in knowing how enquiries find their way to me). You can remove this entry at any time by deleting the site data in your browser.
4. Plugins and tools
Google Fonts (hosted locally)
This website uses fonts that are stored locally, so no connection to Google servers is made for the fonts.
Google Ads conversion tracking
This website uses conversion tracking from Google Ads (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) to find out whether an enquiry came about through a Google ad. The tracking is set up so that no cookies are set and no personal advertising data is stored (Google Consent Mode, consent status “denied”). The script required for this is loaded from Google servers. In addition, when you open the pages and when you send an enquiry, your browser sends short cookieless messages to Google. For technical reasons, Google receives your IP address, information about your browser, the time and the address of the page you are on. If you arrive via a Google ad, this address may contain a click identifier of the ad. Processing in the USA is also possible. Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in measuring the success of advertising).
Google Maps
If I embed Google Maps, this only happens with your consent. Google may then collect data about your use.
5. Data protection for photo and video services
As a wedding photographer, I pay particular attention to the GDPR requirements when photographing and filming people. Where necessary, I obtain written consent for the use and publication of the images.
If you have any questions about data protection, you can contact me at any time.
